Oh, course. What I mean is for for bullion collection its best to use cotton gloves. When cleaning finger prints I mean clean with rubbing alcohol on bullion, not yunk silver.

With the exception of the threepences, these aren’t numismatic coins, this is essentially just metal I’ve been accumulating. Most of the old coins I tipped out had been in general circulation for at least 50 years.

I would never ever clean a coin though - this was something drilled into me from a very yound age by my coin-collecting grandfather. Uncirculated yet tarnished coins are much prettier and likely to be worth more than cleaned ones of the same age IMO.
